The most perverted teaching in the church is about going to heaven. Untold fantasy issues are spoken from the church on a continuous basis, few of which are supported in scripture.

Let’s make a list of the confusing matters.

1. It is true, we have always been told that.
2. It sounds wonderful; is it in the Bible.
3. We get a Mansion.
4. When we die, it is all over, and we go to Heaven.
5. No more sorrow, crying, struggle, suffering.
6. The minute we die we are in Heaven.
7. Our friends and loved ones are looking down.
8. We are walking streets of Gold.
9. Doing what? Taking it easy!
10. Question: can all of this be supported in Scripture, or is it all a lie?

We will now proceed to examine these ideas, to see if scripture can support these claims.

There are several genuine matters to address and resolve scripturally. I will submit that unless one is willing to acknowledge the reality of a specific reward for overcomers, there is no possibility to resolve the question properly, and accurately.

What are these matters which need to be clarified?

1. Jude 1:14 Now Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men also, saying, “Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of His saints.

Problem: We must answer the question as to who these saints are, and how they got there, in order to come with Him.

2. We see saints standing on heavenly Mt Zion, so who are they and how did they get there? if paradise was not emptied at the ascension of Christ. Rev 14:1 Then I looked, and behold, a Lamb standing on Mount Zion, and with Him one hundred and forty-four thousand, having His Father’s name written on their foreheads.

3. We also discover a group of saints who are caught up to God and His throne Rev 12:5 She bore a male Child who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron. And her Child was caught up to God and His throne. Re 12:11 “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. The male child is now articulated (as they,) as they overcame him. We must keep in mind that the book of revelation is a book of signs which shall shortly come to pass.

Rev 1:1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants — things which must shortly take place. And He sent and signified (Strongs 1) to give a sign, to signify, indicate) by His angel to His servant John,

Another thing to note is that it is a book of signs of things to shortly come to pass, not a record of past events.

So we have two groups of people in Heaven, and we have a statement by Jude regarding ten thousands of saints coming with Him. It is therefore reasonable to assume people have gone to heaven in order to then at some time, come with Him.

Key Identifiers

The 144000 seen standing on Heavenly Mt Zion in Rev 14 are the living overcomers who are taken as first fruits in the Lord’s harvest, or secret rapture as they were ripe. Also the Lord kept His promise for those who overcome, that He would keep them from the hour of trial, or the tribulation. These first fruits are comprised of the one taken and the other left. The one taken is the overcomer, and the one left

behind is the immature believer, not an unsaved person as is taught.

The male child in Rev 12 represents the stronger part of the woman, and the woman represents all the believers who have died throughout the ages, and have now been resurrected from the dead, and have been sent into the tribulation to buy the oil which is lacking in their vessel. The purpose is to bring to maturity all of the Lord’s children who did not mature during their lives, for many reasons.

The Lord will prepare a place for the woman to be nourished during the three and one half years of the tribulation. Rev 12:6Then the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, that they should feed her there one thousand two hundred and sixty days.

These two groups Rev 14 and Rev 12 represent the living, and dead overcomers throughout the ages. Who have been caught up to heaven as the Lord keeps His promise to those who overcome, He will keep them from the hour of trial which is to try the whole earth.

Re 3:10 “Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.

We must see that this is a conditional promise and not a promise which applies to every believer regardless of their living and growth.

So, now we have solved all the problems, as it is the overcomers who are caught up to heaven just prior to the beginning of the tribulation, who will then return with the Lord as part of His mighty Army; when He comes.

The duration of their stay in Heaven will be about three and one half years, or the length of the tribulation.

Don’t forget; the peace agreement is for seven years and is broken halfway through; which will inaugurate the three and one half years of tribulation.

Then at the end of the tribulation Jude’s prophecy will come to pass, that the Lord will come openly with ten thousands of His saints, which are the overcomers throughout the ages. Amen
