Receive the implanted Word

Jas 1:21 Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.

Joh 1:14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

Ro 8:10 And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

Ro 8:11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.

Heb 13:21 make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.

2Pe 1:8 For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ

Meekness – Implanted – Receive

The scripture verses listed, indicate clearly that Christ is the implanted word in us, as born again believers.

Gal 3:16 Now to Abraham and his Seed were the promises made. He does not say, “And to seeds,” as of many, but as of one, “And to your Seed,” who is Christ.

This Seed, which is Christ, has been implanted or sewn into our spirit. 1 Cor 6:17 But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.

Fact: The implanting of Christ as the word, has taken place in every born again believer; however the condition of meekness and receiving of this implanted word, in cooperation with Him in His plan of conforming us to His image, to become a full grown man; unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; is another matter.

On a daily basis, do we receive Him, welcome Him, embrace Him? granting Him, as was the case with Mary who said; Lu 1:38 Then Mary said, “Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her. Is our mind, emotion and will as hers; to allow Him as the implanted Word to do His will through in and through us?

This submission, whether it be a transforming personal work in us, or a good work toward others, which He has prepared before hand that we should walk in it. Eph 2:10. This would be to actually walk by the Spirit.

Heb 4:12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. 13 And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.

It appears; after more than fifty years of observing believers, that this lack of receiving Him is the critical bottle neck; preventing our soul from being saved. This due to, not actually receiving Him into our day; rather, He is too often ignored, as we rush around fulfilling the choices of our soul life; issuing largely from the desires of our fallen flesh and self?

What were the sins of Sodom?

Eze 16:49 “Look, this was the iniquity of your sister Sodom: She and her daughter had pride, fullness of food, and abundance of idleness; neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.

50 “And they were haughty and committed abomination before Me; therefore I took them away as I saw fit.

Unfortunately, we tend to ignore the first five items which may very well be in our lives; and focus on the sixth of the things mentioned. However, God says He destroyed Sodom for all of these reasons, not simply one.

Do we Receive Him Daily?

Jn 1:11 He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. Joh 1:12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:

Joh 4:45 So when He came to Galilee, the Galileans received Him, having seen all the things He did in Jerusalem at the feast; for they also had gone to the feast.

Col 2:6 As you have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him,

1Co 11:23 For I received <3880> from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread;

Why is our soul not being saved?

This matter of truly receiving the implanted word, which is Christ; would impart in us so many profound treasures of discovery, and impartation of Him as life, to save our soul; not in regeneration, but in transformation, and conformation to His Image from glory to glory.

However, over the past fifty plus years of ministering into the lives of God’s people, there is a most repeated expression, as it relates to the unwillingness to receive the implanted word, in the context of our particular circumstances.

Expressions such as “the Lord wanted something from me, however I simply did not want to do it.

Now let us examine these statements against the promise  expressed  if  we  would  receive  the

implanted word. ‘Now observe,’ by receiving the implanted word which is able to save your souls.

However, by refusing to receive the implanted word, we will lose our soul. This has nothing to do with loss of salvation, however, please consider what it may entail.

Lu 17:33 “Whoever seeks to save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life will preserve it.

2b) the (human) soul in so far as it is constituted that by the right use of the aids offered it by God it can attain its highest end and secure eternal blessedness, the soul regarded as a moral being designed for everlasting life.

2c) the soul as an essence which differs from the body and is not dissolved by death (distinguished from other parts of the body)

More Consequences

Our flesh as a result of the fall; is completely committed to be expressed out through our soul, or self. Our soul; consisting of our mind, emotion, and human will.

In the day in which we live, there is the complete giving over to our feelings, and personal rights; which are absolutely the opposite of denying our self, or soul life. This mindset is preventing the saints from saving their souls. Which becomes manifest in the parable of the ten virgins in Matt 25.

The picture is that of all of the ten virgins, or dead saints have been resurrected in leu of the bridegrooms coming being announced.

Next, we see five wise and five foolish in conversation. Five, among other things reflects the matter of personal responsibility.

The conversation centres around the lack of oil in the vessel of the foolish virgins; please note they all have oil in their lamps.

P.r 20:27 The spirit of a man is the lamp of the LORD, Searching all the inner depths of his heart. These all have oil in their lamp as believers; the issue is the lack of oil in the vessel, or their soul.

.Mt 25:9 “But the wise answered, saying, ‘No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’

Rev 3:15 “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot.16 “So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.17 “Because you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy,

and have need of nothing’ — and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked —

18 “I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see.

19 “As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent.

It would truly do us all well; to consider the contents as to what the Spirit councils the church to buy.

Unbelievers are never called to buy salvation, rather are told of the free gift if they would receive Christ.

Consequences

To those of the church; who instead loved their soul life, during their lifetime; are now counselled to buy! The believers who live in their flesh, and gratify the desires of their flesh, and soul life; are not saving their soul, but rather are doing great harm to themselves. This is not freedom, but rather serious deception, and loss to the dear saints.

Consequently, these foolish virgins or believers which are lacking the oil in their vessel; which includes those who have died, who will then be raised from the dead, however not raptured, but sent

into the tribulation; as well as those who are currently alive at that time. Both groups will be sent into the tribulation period, to buy the needed oil, to fill them with the Spirit; and bring them to spiritual maturity. Matt 25

For us as believers; to live in a way which is focused on saving our soul life, is a great error, and a profound spiritual blindness, which will ultimately block us from hearing well done by the Lord, and consequently will be refused entry to the wedding feast, including the enjoyment of the Millennial reign with all the overcoming saints, and with Christ.

Matt 8:11 “And I say to you that many will come from east and west, and sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven. 12 “But the sons of the kingdom will be cast out into outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”

Bible teachers have shortchanged the body of Christ, by presenting the matter of simply being born again as the beginning and ending of the spiritual process, and now are just waiting for their Mansion in Heaven.

If that were the case, then for what was Paul pressing toward the mark for the prize? if it simply is being saved to go to heaven, as a free gift, which is not deserved, and cannot be earned? Check it out!
